Introductory --- Designed for psychologists who may have little to no background in a specialized skill or content area. The learner can become acquainted with the theoretical underpinnings, principles, methods, and

Course Description and Target Audience

This training will focus on mental health factors in the Black/African-American community. Leaders within the industry will explore the impact of systemic barriers to equitable treatment including access to care, mistrust of health systems, and culturally relevant responses to care. Additionally, this training will offer opportunities to hear lived experiences from Black leaders and develop a commitment to promoting inclusive practices.

The target audience is mental health providers (advanced doctoral level psychology trainees, psychologists in practice, master’s level clinicians, etc).

There are no known risks to this presentation.
