Instructional Level

Intermediate --- Builds upon the learner's foundational knowledge, familiarity with the literature and/or experience in a content area. Programming at this level includes more depth than at a beginning level program. It could also serve as a refresher course for individuals who have background in a content area and are interested in learning more contemporary applications.

Course Description and Target Audience

In the second part of PCBH Week II with Beachy Bauman Consultants, participants will get a crash course in being an effective director of PCBH program. Specifically, Drs. Beachy and Bauman will discuss all things related to being an effective director, including employee engagement, metric tracking, template and Electronic Health Record development, seamless workflows, and much more! If you are a director of PCBH program or hoping to become a leader within PCBH, this workshop is for you!

The target audience is any personnel that is interested in becoming or is currently a director of a PCBH program. There are no known risks to this presentation.

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will be able to describe common metrics used to validate PCBH programs moving towards infinite values.
  • Attendees will be able to describe core tenants of employee engagement and strategies to enhance employee engagement.
  • Attendees will be able to describe steps in Electronic Health Record template development to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of BHCs.
  • Attendees will be able to describe strategies to create a context where PCBH services are uptaken by a healthcare organization.


Presenter Information

Dr. Bridget Beachy, a licensed psychologist, is the principal member and a consultant for Beachy Bauman Consulting, PLLC. She has worked with health systems around the world and strives to make healthcare more compassionate and engaging, while focusing on the integration of behavioral health providers into primary care. Also, Dr. Beachy is currently the Director of Behavioral Health at Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) where she leads a team of Behavioral Health Consultants (BHC). She serves as a faculty member and BHC at CHCW’s Central Washington Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Beachy regularly presents around the country and globe on PCBH and contextual behavioral approaches to common concerns seen in primary care. She values training future psychologists (and other mental health professionals) to work seamlessly within fully integrated primary care teams.

David Bauman, PsyD is a licensed psychologist and principal member of Beachy Bauman Consulting. Dr. Bauman regularly consults with health systems around the globe regarding the integration of behavioral health into primary care, as well as helping providers and systems provide contextual and compassionate healthcare. He also serves as the Behavioral Health Education Director at Community Health of Central Washington, where he oversees a variety of behavioral health training programs (i.e., predoctoral psychology internship, post-doctoral psychology fellowship, and psychosocial medicine curriculum within the family medicine residency). He also serves as the Region Training Director of the National Psychology Training Consortium (NPTC)-Cascades Region psychology internship. Lastly, Dr. Bauman works as a Behavioral Health Consultant at Central Washington Family Medicine.

Video Homestudy Format

CE’s for this homestudy training will be earned through completing the following tasks:

  • Watch the presentation video and review all provided documents in their entirety.
  • Pass the post-test questionnaire with at least 80% correct.


A program evaluation form will be provided to all who registered following the training. Please be sure to complete this form since your feedback helps direct future CE programming from our organization.

Registration Cost

This cost includes video links, materials, and tests required to obtain the CE’s. The CE certificate will be emailed to participants upon successful completion of the training (80% or higher on exam).
